Remember, a good cover letter just politely introduces your skills to your future employer and lets them know you are very interested in working for their company. Be sure to share anything unique you know about their company and if a friend had told you about the job opening, mention their name. Sometimes caregivers will ask the family members of previous seniors they have provided care for to write a testimonial which you can include in your cover letter.
