Job Description:
Community of Helping Angels is a fast growing company looking for compassionate, energetic and reliable CNA/Certified Caregivers in Phoenix, Sun City, and Sun City West to work in a home care environment and give one on one care to the disabled or elderly. You will provide care and support services and help our clients with activities of daily living and companionship. The caregiver provides direct personal care and protective oversight for residents in the home and assures that all policies and procedures, standards and residents rights are observed during his/her assignment.
Skills / Requirements:
• Must have reliable transportation and fulfill assignments with reliability and punctuality.
• Understand they must meet requirements on a Background Investigation, drug screen, and Professional and Personal Reference Checks.
• Previous direct care experience, preferably with memory care patients
• Must be able to function in the home setting with minimal direct supervision and maintain great relationships with administrative staff, clients, and family members.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and document services provided.
• Must be genuinely concerned about helping people and have high moral standards of honesty and integrity.
• Must be Precise, Skillful, Courteous, Polite, and Pleasant!
Responsibilities:
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Performs duties as assigned on the care plan
• Maintain safety by protecting oversight and direct interventions as needed
• Administer medications to residents in accordance with the regulations and training standards
• Be knowledgeable of the residents' behavior patterns effects and side effects of medications, changes in behavior and appetite, sleeping habits, doctor appointments, family outings, and other pertinent information.
• Provides for a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and family members Provides light housekeeping tasks including laundering of client's garments and linens and changing the bed
• Assists in meeting nutritional needs by providing meal planning, meal preparation, grocery shopping, dishes, and kitchen clean-up
• Assists the client with ambulation/transfers as specified in the Plan of Care
• Help clients with activities of daily living by providing any of the care activities including, but not limited to: bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and/or ambulation
• Other reasonable related duties as assigned
