Caregiverlist, Inc. was founded by Julie Northcutt, former founder and owner of Chicagoland Caregivers, Corp., a local senior home care agency that she owned and operated for seven years and sold in July 2007. While leading Chicagoland Caregivers, Julie realized the need for a trusted resource for seniors and adult children to turn to for information about planning and securing quality senior care.

While some families plan ahead for care needs, many times medical emergencies such as a stroke leave families needing to make a quick decision about care. It is at this point that many families learn for the first time that Medicare does not provide for long-term care in the home nor in a nursing home. Information on services, costs, quality standards, transportation options, insurance coverage, and more is quickly needed.
