Medicaid health care replaces Medicare for seniors who are financially eligible. Jointly funded by the federal government and each state, Medicaid is called a “Federal-State” health care program.Medicaid does pay for an on-going nursing home stay for seniors but may or may not have additional senior home care services available in each community.
