Caregiving Story

Tamara Komarowa

My mother suffered a severe stroke almost 4 years ago--actually the doctors said she suffered 6 mini strokes. She would never feed herself or walk or do much of anything else. While this was a shock to all family members, Iamvery close to my particularly close to my mom.

I nursed her day and night, and now she CAN do anything she puts her mind to, although she needs some prompting to do things. The doctor's are amazed at her recovery. Although she will never be the same again, it was the most rewarding and challenging time for me. I would do it all over again in a heart beat for anyone who is in need. I have finally found my true calling in life! Thanks Mom!
