I love spending my extra time with seniors. They have so so many stories to tell. They could write books.
I decided to become a companion because my grandmother was ill and I needed the training to assist her with her daily living. The seniors I met had and have hearts of gold. The only thing I dislike about the job is when one of my clients passes away. Believe me, you even get attached to the ones with the nastiest attitudes--in fact, they might be the ones you remember the most.
To my darling Mrs. Pearl S.: I love you, and every piece of advice you have given me is embedded in my heart. "You got to go for what you want before you wake up and you're a Senior... Good things come to those who want it most, not to those who wait!!"
