Caregiving Story

Ed

I help a extremely disabled gentlemen named Ed. Ed was spiteful and filled with anger and depression. He was assaulted in LA and beaten over the head with bricks by what we assume were gangbangers. He was left for dead in a pool of blood, but Ed is a fighter. He lived through it. He is a remarkable man. Ed cannot walk, hardly talks, cannot dress himself, feed himself, or even go to the bathroom without help.

I have been working with him for a little over a month now and he is doing extremely better. He can now brush his own teeth and help me help him get dressed. His spirits also seem higher. I am so proud of this gentlemen. I only see him getting better as time goes on. I hope I can continue to help him be able to do some of the things that he once did so nonchalantly.
