Caregiving Story

Sybil Grand

I am presently working in Baton Rouge La. My client's name is Ms. Sybil and I have been her caregiver for a year now. She is a sweetie pie. Ms. Sybil has Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's. She is mobile, however, when I first began working for her, all she did was sit in her recliner and watch TV. Now she will assist me in folding towels, wiping off the kitchen counter or even light dusting. I am a live-in caregiver and I love doing this work. My family lives in Chicago and I would like to go back to that area. I would like to continue doing this type of work. I am responsible for preparing my clients meals, doing her laundry, and making sure she is clean. I also a little housekeeping.
I also worked for Ellis Hammond, who had lung cancer. I worked for him until he passed away. I gave his medications, kept him clean, and accompanied him to the doctor.
