Caregiving Story

Marilyn , Jim & Ken & Pola

I have one client that is 96, and what a character she is. She grew up in the South and still has that Old Charm about her. She also grew up having people wait on her for EVERYTHING. When I came along, she said, "Well now, I'm not sure you are going to make the cut." But after we spent the day with each other, surprise to me, she asked me, "Can you come every day!." She also said, "You know, Hon, you can eat at the same table with me. You do not have to eat in the kitchen." I just smiled and said, "Thank you Ma'am." But we have grown to love one another, and I just smile at her and say, "Thank you." You just never know who you are going to get as a client.
