I am a 45-year-old woman who has been a homemaker for 19 years. I have two great children and a wonderful husband. My story began three years ago when my dear brother was diagnosed with ALS. At age 45, he was told he was going to die and there was nothing he could do. My brother had only my 75-year-old mother and myself to help him through this terrible journey. I brought him to my home to live and eventually became his voice and his hands. I loved taking care of him and I would do it again. I realized that my purpose in life is to help others. I truly love caring for those in need. Now I am pursuing caregiving as a career.
