Caregiving Story

Florence Mahar and Virginia Schrein

I have not been a caregiver professionally to anyone but my Grandmothers, who both passed away. We had a special bond. I had been a babysitter to children for many years, certified by the Red Cross through the Girl Scouts of America (as an adolescent), but my passion for working as a professional caregiver stems from my heart and soul where I am a genuinely loving and caring person for others. I believe as human beings, we have a great responsibility to each other. I love the elderly and have a great respect and value for them. I am looking forward to starting my career as a professional caregiver. I am on the left in the picture.
