Caregiving Story

Barb is very special. She is my inspiration and my motivation in life. I know that one day soon she may no longer be with us. But I know that everyday that I care for her I should be thankful and blessed that I am able to breath. I give thanks for another day of life. Do not ever take your life for granted, regardless of your situation. Adavnced Multiple Sclerosis has attacked her body for 20+ years. Everyday that I enter her home she greets me with a smile and a "I Love You". This woman has enough love for the whole world in her beautiful heart. She may not be able to walk, sit, eat and care for her needs, but knowing that I can help her gives me a feeling of joy. I know that she will be leaving us really soon. But I know I have had the honor of caring for a woman with such strength. Barb has made a big impact on how I see life in general. Never give up and never sweat the small stuff. She has inpsired me to further my career in nursing. Thank you, Barb, for coming into my life....Rachel
