Caregiving Story

Dorothy

I worked with Dorothy in a facility in Michigan. She had Dementia and was a very kind woman. However, at times she could be very stubborn. I remember one night I was talking to her and she was fine. Then I walked away from her and she chased me down the hall with her walker. I wanted to laugh, but I contained my self. I guess she wasn't done talking to me and didn't want me to leave. We sat in the hallway, and I talked her into going to bed. I enjoyed being her caregiver.
