Caregiving Story

Sonia

Caregiving is not only a profession--it's a mission, a devotion, and a lifestyle for me.

I had taken care of my client for 3 years before she joined our creator. She was already like my second family. When I got in for the start of my shift, our first question to each other was, "How was your day?" (I work for the night shift.) She would share her usual routine and in return I would share mine. Then we would discuss things in the news and stories about her family. She enriched my life so much with her insights and wisdom.

Being with her wasn't at all work for me. I had more pleasure being with her and it was so very rewarding. She was witty, smart, meticulous, and passionate. I wouldn't be surprised if the superior being is busy right now, for I am definitely sure she is bombarding the Almighty with questions. I miss her a lot. But I'm happy that she has now rests in peace. She lived a full life. She is an inspiration.
