Employees are entitled to the higher of the two rates when there is a federal and a state minimum wage law.

Caregiving pay varies between $8.00 and $14.00 per hour, depending on benefits provided along with hourly pay and if positions are for companion care or nursing aides. Bonuses and incentives are also available from many senior care companies.
