Hazel was a 92 year old woman I had taken care of the last month or so of her life. Her daughter-in-law was a retired nurse, ran her own home with her husband and needed someone to come in and take care of Hazel for 4 hours in the morning.
While living in Bolton, CT, I struck up a conversation with a woman who was walking her dog by my house. We started talking and, not knowing what was in store, by the end of that conversation I had an interview with the daughter-in-law. I soon found myself taking care of Hazel, who really took great care of herself. One of my last clients, she was a sweet woman and so was the family. Good people--so the job didn't feel like a JOB.
