I became a caregiver form the beginning of our marriage in 2000. I knew what was in stored for us. We had a heavenly courtship. Short but sweet. I really gained alot of knowledge about different diseases like lungs, diabetes and what came with the territory!! I learned to be proactive...be a caregiver...talked to doctors. He was a very scholarly gentleman and loved to teach children. He was a crab, too! Even as his conditions got bad he was right there with his students. They miss him very much as does his family and extended family. I wouldn't trade the experience for nothing. He is missed by loved ones. He was only 59 years young!
