Caregiving Story
My Client
Location: Garden Grove, CA
Cared for by: April Yubili
Years of Care: 7
I am a Certified Nurse Assistant for 7 years now. I have worked in different skilled care facilities and in a rehabilitation facility. I love my patients and I have a lot of respect for them. Sometimes you will feel sad at home but when you come to work and see the smiles of your patients, everything changes. You get mad sometimes because you may have too many patients that you are caring for in one shift. You cannot give equal care to all of them because there is not enough time. I hate that, but I always try my best to give the care that they need. But if it is not enough, I will feel bad. I always think that I should jump on their situation because what if when I get old someday and need the respect of a C.N.A.? I wonder if I am going to get nice care? And a lot more...so since I started this kind of work I was taught to respect elderly people. As long as you know how you want to be treated as a person, you will get the treatment you deserve.
