A collection of caregiving story submissions from our readers. Caregiving demands physical, mental and emotional stamina and the ability to meet new challenges daily. Both family and professional caregivers find support by sharing their experiences with others.
My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer when I was only 22-years-old. This happened only one year after my father, her husband of thirty years, had just passed away. I was all she had, and she was my best friend. We were together every hour of every day. Couldn't separate us :). I took care of her every need for years until this September when she succumbed to her illness.
