For Stephanie, the best way to relieve caregiver stress is to take breaks in between long days. Don't be in a rush to go and complete multiple traveling jobs and yourself has to rest from a hard day's work. It's good to go to the nail parlor and get messages and relax your feet, listen to soft music or read a book. Caregivers are great people who work hard everyday and dedicate their work to take care of the elderly with great care and responsibility.
Her way of engaging with her clients is by having conversations that are meaningful to them and involve their family. During the day or cool morning, she sits outside with her clients and talk to them about their family. She thinks this helps the clients keep going smoothly to the conversations that she has with them. She can sit with them while watching a football game or hallmark movie and talk about the movie. The client will respond and smile in a way that is so warm and heartfelt. She loves when the client smiles and talks about their children and grandchildren. This is so encouraging to her because the client knows that someone is there to care for them.
