Why Do Caregivers Obtain Caregiver Certification Online?

Online caregiver training allows caregivers to get certified at anytime, from anywhere. It also makes it easy for caregivers to get annual certification training each year. Caregiver certification training delivers a standard of quality for caregiving, for both the caregivers delivering the care and the senior care companies managing the care. There are many state regulations that protect caregivers as workers, and protect the privacy of care recipients, who may be seniors who are experiencing changing health conditions and memory loss.

Professional caregivers receive the status of certification for completing state-mandated caregiver training along with the added value of passing an exam to confirm retention of the knowledge.

Senior caregivers will care for adults who sometimes are not accepting of receiving care and who may not have family members who live close to them. The senior caregiver certification courses teach caregivers how to professionally manage all the different aspects of senior care, and to understand the systems that can be implemented to deliver high quality care.

Caregivers provide emotional care and also have the challenge of caring for their own needs. The Caregiverlist® caregiver certification training supports caregivers with tools to help relieve caregiver stress and certificates to reward them for their training accomplishments.

How does caregiver certification training work?

Once a caregiver purchases the training course or receives an enrollment invitation from a senior care company, they will log-in to their own caregiver certification training account. Caregivers may log-in and out, as needed, and take the training at their own pace. Once they finish reading the training content and watching the videos, they may click on the exam to confirm their knowledge and receive their certificate to show they are a certified caregiver.

The Caregiverlist® training leads the industry in offering easy-to-use training on any device. Caregivers may become certified on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. And, best of all, the Caregiverlist® training was created by senior care professionals who understand the challenges of caregiving. Senior care companies enjoy the many unique tools our learning management system delivers to make it easy to provide reports to senior company state training auditors and to keep up with state mandated caregiver training topics. If you aren’t sure about your state’s laws and mandates, just reach out to us.

Are Caregivers Required to Take Annual Renewal Training?

States require renewal training each year in order to maintain certification as a caregiver. As senior caregivers will experience care needs for many different age-related diseases and conditions, the ongoing training allows caregivers to expand their knowledge as caregivers for Parkinsons’ disease and all the various types of dementia. Renewal caregiver certification may be taken online each year. Caregivers are able to keep all of their previous training certifications in their online caregiver profile.

How do Caregivers Receive their Online Caregiver Certificates?

Certificates are available for caregivers in wall-size or wallet-size. Caregivers may also upload their photos onto their certificates after they have finished their course and passed the exam. Caregivers may also take the exam again if they would like to be given a new set of questions and try for a higher score. The recognition of certification assists in growing a career in the senior care industry.

Online caregiver certification delivers the benefit of being able to take the training from anywhere at anytime. Caregiverlist® has lead the way in online caregiver training, and allows caregivers to keep all of their training certificates in one place and return each year for renewal training. Senior care companies nationwide turn to Caregiverlist® to train their caregivers, consistently confirming the Caregiver Training University learning management system as the easiest for caregivers to use and the best online caregiver training on the market. Caregivers enjoy the recognition they receive and knowing the training has been created just for in-home caregivers by experienced senior care professionals. Training updates happen continuously, keeping up with new developments and techniques in senior care and, of course, new viruses. The in-the-cloud training platform delivers an enjoyable experience for caregivers with modern interactive content.

Caregiver T-shirts and Lapel Pins

Caregivers may purchase a pink or gray certification t-shirt and a lapel pin to showcase their caregiver certification. Styles and sizes vary from fits-like-a-medium close-fitting Large V-neck to Beefy-T Unisex T-shirts in Large, XL and XXL. Some caregivers wear the t-shirts as a uniform.

Long-term Care Insurance Caregiver Certification

Long-term care insurance companies also usually require caregivers to be certified in order for their policies to pay for their care. The Caregiverlist® training fulfills the requirements for long-term care insurance caregiver certification training.

The team at Caregiverlist has worked in senior care for more than 20 years, with founders who operated a successful senior care company (that was purchased by a national corporation). Our courses are written for caregivers, not for doctors and nurses! We also enjoy connecting with caregivers and are available to speak with anyone who has questions or needs assistance with their caregiver certification. Just give us a call at: 312-669-8820.
